Does The World Create Us Or Do We Create Our World? How’s that for a deep one this morning? And I could go deep into this because there is so much to explore in thinking about it. I’m not going to do that because we’d be here all day! But suffice it to say that there are always two sides to the coin. And while I’m a firm believer that we can change so much in our lives by how we think, I also understand that we don’t have unlimited power since we can’t control the choices of other people. We can influence those choices, but that’s a whole other topic.
For today, I want you to really think about the difference in thinking between the world creating us and us creating our world. When we think about the world creating us and our reality, it comes from the point of view that we see or understand the world a certain way and then we work to find the logic and order within that world. Our place. We try to “fit” within that world. And sometimes it’s not the right fit. If we believe that the world creates us and we need to work with the hand we are dealt it can really limit our ability to live a full and happy life. To reach our full potential in this world.
On the other hand, if we believe that we create our world and our reality, that’s a whole new feeling of power and hope. Then we begin to understand that our viewpoint of things like logic and order, our understanding and view of our place and who we are, what we want to be, how we want to live – those things can all be changed to create the life we want to live. To create our world, so to speak.
Isn’t that exciting? Knowing that you hold within your hand the power to create the world you want. To live the life you want. To be the person you know deep inside you can be. Isn’t that encouraging?
Go out today and create your world. Be true to yourself. Tell the world the story of who you are and what you want to be. Change your view of the world to see it as the place you want it to become. And watch how your world changes.
